Say hello to Ozobot Evo! Thanks to its private intelligence he may be a little bit restless but he is still such a cute and most importantly very social friend! Not only does he trickle something clever with his funny voice while flashing lights with its colour LED diodes, but he also communicates through Bluetooth 4.0 and you can control him from a free application for smart phones and tablets. Perfectly executed movements, colour changes and sound effects can be saved and you can personalize your little robot to your advantage. In addition, every day your application brings you new challenges and unlocks special rewards.
Of course, it’s easy to programme in a web editor OzoBlockly and drawing paths with ozocodes with the help of colour markers given to you with your Ozobot. Increased number of sensors will reliably keep an eye on the bottom line and new infrared sensors will notify the robot about every obstacle in its path to make sure there is no accidental bump with another Ozobot. You’re more likely to witness a conversation than fight.
Ozobot Evo is a friendly little robot which will show your children into the world of robotics, logical thinking and programming in a creative way. That is what makes Evo not only a smart device but also a thought through educative tool suitable for schools of all levels and science clubs.
Small robot with a great personality
Right after the first activation, Ozobot Evo starts restlessly riding on a table, flashing lights and making funny noises. He is equipped with audio playback and autonomous behaviour. Another new function are infrared sensors positioned in front and back which patrol the Robot’s surroundings, making sure that Evo doesn’t crash into objects in its path and if needed it can speed up when another robot is in sight.
Compared to previous versions, Ozobot Evo is also equipped with larger number of underground sensors which monitor guide lines and can distinguish colours which is great not only for the LED diode colour change but more importantly for correct reading of the colour commands – Ozocodes.
Remote control through your smart phone
Ozobot Evo communicates through Bluetooth 4.0 in a range up to 10 meters and in a brand-new application you can almost immediately after activating the robot control him just like a toy car with a remote control. Joystick on the display is sensitive to your touch and Ozobot Evo executes the commands in the same precise way you ordered him to do so. In the application, you can change the colours of LED diodes or pick from the pre-set codes. You can also choose from many sounds and quotes for the Ozobot to say. All movements and changes can be recorded and later played again.
Chat with Ozobots all around the world
Make sure to create a user account and connect to the international site of Ozobot Evo owners. Two Ozobots and their owners can communicate across the planet thanks to OzoChat, send each other greetings and Ozojis – light and movement emoji. The producer also provides you with new challenges through the application and after you complete them, you will be rewarded and able to personalize your robot. Every day with your Ozobot Evo will be different than the previous one.
Application Ozobot Evo free for smart phone and tablets with system iOS from version 6.0 or Android from version 2.3 and Bluetooth 4.0.
Designed for travelling
Ozobot Evo is only a few millimetres bigger than its ancestor Bit so you can put it into a travel pouch made from microfibers that comes along with your Ozobot. With your friends, you can synchronize your Ozobots, unlock games for multiple Ozobots or solve logical tasks. When the time comes, you may even start a robot battle.
Get your game desk and colour markers ready
In the box, resembling a doll house (well, robot house in this situation) you will find a foldable game desk on which your Ozobot Evo can run around. One of the compartments hides a set of four colour markers which you can use to edit your game desk or design your own desk full of cross roads and ozocodes.
Colour speech of ozocodes and private intelligence
As with previous versions, Ozobot tracks guide lines and executes commands typed in a form of sequence in green, blue and red colour. Each combination has a different meaning for your Ozobot. You can change the speed, direction, colour and flashing intensity of integrated LED diodes. You can let your Ozobot rotate like a tornado or dance backwards. Draw a cross road and Ozobot will decide itself in which direction to go unless of course you command your Ozobot to for example turn left before he reaches the cross road.
You’ll be a programmer quickly and easily thanks to OzoBlockly
OzoBlockly is a clear editor based on Google Blockly and programming in this application is possible for even for elementary school pupils. Its great advantage is the visual clarity and intuitiveness. Individual commands will click in like a puzzle whereas inconsistent orders simply do not fit together but you can layer them.
OzoBlockly can be opened in any web browser on a tablet or computer, regardless of platform. Programming the movement or more complex lighting effects for conditional operations can be set in several difficulty levels.
The finished code will be transmitted to your Ozobot through an interactive spot on a screen with quick colour sequences. By switching interface, you can check anytime what a certain code looks like in JavaScript. Created sequence subsequently starts by double-pressing the power button on your Ozobot.
More applications for a tablet or smart phone
Ozobot Evo will also connect with other applications for Ozobots such as Ozogroove where you can create choreographies for up to 5 robots at the same time depending on the size of the display. In Ozobot application, which is mainly designed for tablets, you can draw straight onto the display, let it be track orders, solving logical tasks, looking for an exit from labyrinths or playing games with your friends.
Application Ozobot for tablets for free (iOS 6.0+, Android 3.2+).
